Tips and tricks for your hair and makeup trial and your big day

Give yourself enough time
As soon as your dream dress is ready or almost ready, you can make your appointment for your hair and makeup trial.

Prep your hair
Make sure you don't wash your hair the day of your wedding or trial. Hair that hasn't been washed is actually easier to style. Bring any accessories you may have in mind. It may be that a trim is needed in areas to maintain a desired style and the trial will help you decide.
Groom your brows
Shaped correctly your eyebrows will 'complete' your face. Start doing this ASAP so that you have time to grow in certain spots if needed. Have them groomed and ready 3 days before your wedding day.
See an esthetician
Like your brows you will want to pay attention to your skin well before your wedding day. Try to start facials 6 months prior to your wedding day, whether it's removing unwanted hair or getting a monthly facial to get your skin looking its best. Your last facial should be one week out from your wedding day.

Bring your best photo Inspiration
Try to narrow it down to 3-5 fave photos of hair and makeup inspo. Looking at too many can be overwhelming so just focusing on a few looks can help me figure out what you really want and create to style just for you. When selecting images try to look for similar hair and skin tones as they will show detail very differently. If you are a brunette, choose hair pictures that are of darker hues, same with olive, fair or darker skin tones looking for makeup reference.

Take a photo of your dress
A photo of your dress will help immensely to get the vision for your total look, and this way we can consult on the best styles and looks to go with your gown. Ask your  bridesmaid to snap a photo of you at one of your fittings to bring along to the trial.

Manicure, Pedicure and Massage
The day before your wedding day try to indulge in these 3 things as they will help you to feel more prepared and relaxed.

Lash extensions and Umi lash lift
Depending on your lash needs both of these are excellent options. Give them a try 6 months out from your big day so you can decide if you will go for them again. If neither of these options are appealing, a full set of lashes can be applied as well as a 3/4 set or individuals depending on the result.
Are there travel costs involved for Rarotongan weddings?
There is an extra booking fee for Cook Island weddings but travel costs will vary. Costs may be reduced if other weddings can be booked in Rarotonga either side of yours. If yours is the only wedding in that period it may be necessary to contribute to travel costs.
